    “The art contest was scary. I did not know if I would win or not. I love
    drawing, so it was fun to see my art displayed. When they said I won and I
    got money I was happy, but I was more excited about being entered into the
    contest at the museum. I did not know there was one because so I am
    excited to go.”

    Student B:

    “I got a bag full of books and really nice bookmarks too. We don’t have many
    books at home. But I got a library card so I hope I can get a lot more.”
    Family Reflections

    Family A:

    “At the Family Literacy Night we had to get stamps for the booths we
    attended. We turned and in and got entered into the raffle. We got an IPAD.
    I expected candy or something. Now my baby got something to actually get
    her homework done.”

    Family B:

    “I was just happy to spend time with my kids.”
