Job Description
Languages: English

Education:

• College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year

to 2 years;

Credentials (certificates, licences, memberships, courses, etc.):

• Certification by a provincial or territorial association for massage therapists

Experience: 1 to less than 7 months

Specific Skills/Duties:

• Explain procedures, risks and benefits to clients;

• Administer massage techniques through soft tissue manipulation, relaxation techniques,
hydrotherapy, trigger point therapy, joint pain and lower grade mobilizations;
• Massage and knead muscles and soft tissues of the body

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:

• Physically demanding;
• Manual dexterity;
• Standing for extended periods;

• 1 month to less than 7 months: 1 year
