SWAC releases 2019-2020 All-Tournament

team

On March 23, the Southwestern Athletic Conference released the All-SWAC honors list, along
with the SWAC bowler of the year, and the SWAC freshman of the year. This year Prairie View
A&M swept regular season winning its second regular season championship and taking home the
coach of the year, bowler of the year, and freshman of the year.
The top ten standing were dominated by Alabama State with four in the top ten, Jackson State
with three top ten finishers, and Prairie View A&M with two. The bowler of the year along with
freshman of the year is Patricia Rosales, a freshman from Prairie View A&M with a total pin fall
of 5,553, averaging a 198.32 for 28 games. Second, behind Rosales is her teammate Crystal
Cline, with a 188.71 for 21 games. In third place from Jackson State University is Capri Howard
with an average of 185.00 for a total of 28 games. Fourth place was held by Alize Stevenson,
with an average of 184.33 for a total of 24 games. Rounding out the first team is Tierra Jackson
with a 184.52 average for a total of 27 games.
The All-Swac honors is based on highest of averages of all individuals. Team places are based
off wins and losses during matches of the East and West Roundups. The Coach of the year was
awarded to Glenn White, head coach of the Prairie View A&M Panthers.
