    megazines of Pakistan

    2-by line.... any news story which appears with the name of the reporter....

    3-Curtain raiser..... news story which is written by reporters about any event which is going to
    take place in next one or two days.....

    The curtain raiser. A curtain raiser is a story on what is likely to happen and not a report on
    what has happened. It raisers the curtain to show what is on the stage and how the drama will
    unfold itself. It is to a news event what an appetizer is to a meal it whets one's appetite to know
    what is going to come

    4-on the record.... such verbal agreement between reporters and source under which
    information shared by the source could be published and broadcast with the name of the
    reporter...

    5-Blind interview..............such interview in the media in which original ID of the interviewer is

    9-News Agency............a news network which collects news and sell it to subscribers

    10-lead....the main headline in the newspapers and first story which goes on air on TV and
    Radio....

    11...masthead...the place on front page of the newspaper where name of the newspaper is
    mentioned...

    12..Flag...name of the newspaper on Editorial page...

    13....scoop...powerful and exclusive story with any newspaper...

    14...dateline...the name of the place from where any news story originates....

    15......cross media... any Media group which under the law runs newspaper and TV channel...
