I. Objectives:
At the end of the class period the learner will be able to:
a. distinguish and discuss the different kind of senses
b. categorize different kinds of senses
c. manifest the value of self-care by keeping their sense organs clean and protect
them from damage.
III. Procedures:
A. Preparatory activities:
Prayer
Mood settings
Energizer: “Head, shoulders knees and toes song”
B. Lesson Proper:
a. Elicit
Show a video presentation called “The fruit song”.
Ask random learners to answer the following questions:
What is the video all about?”
What are the fruits that you saw in the video?
Show a Durian fruit and let the leaners describe it, using their senses.
b. Engage:
Ask volunteers to describe the taste, smell, colour and texture of the given
objects using a graphic organizer.

c. Explore:
Group the learners into four (4) and let them perform the assigned activity.
Group 1. Mystery box: Let the learners guess what is in the box, by
touching what’s inside the box without looking at it.
Group 2. Paint and sniff: Use diluted coffee powder, flavoured juice,
and chocolate powder for painting, and let learners describe its smell
and colour.
Group 3 Blindfold taste test. Let the learners guess the taste of each
items given to them while blindfolded.
Group 4 Hear me hear me!. Let the learners guess the sound that are
being played. (horn, raindrops, ring of the telephone, thunder, )

Let the learners name the five senses and guide them in describing its function.
