This document reports the results of a logistic regression analysis examining factors related to the issuance of a permit. The analysis included variables for prior permits issued (P), substance use (S), potential for recidivism (POT), stability in the community (SI), and time since last offense (TS). Across four steps, different combinations of these variables were found to significantly predict the issuance of a permit when controlling for other factors in the model. P and TS were significant predictors that decreased the odds of a permit being issued in all steps.
