Project 2 - From Waste To Wealth: Bfc23702 Creativity and Innovation Faculty of Civil and Environmental Engineering
1. Introduction
This group project is to develop a creative person who will eventually think strategically,
creatively and critically to solve the problem. In this group project, students will use
various creativity and problem solving techniques. Some of the skills to be covered
throughout the course are problem solving, techniques in creativity and techniques in
innovation.
2. Objectives
To promote creative problem solving skills through applying creativity techniques
and innovative thinking on a real world challenge.
3. Instruction
This is a group-based project and you are assessed based on your group's
performance. You are required to form a group of not more than FIVE students
(depends on your instructor. Special cases need to seek for approval).
Students are expected to provide a feasible/workable solution towards a
problem/issue/challenge within the scope of a given theme. Students are
expected to apply the creativity tools and problem solving methods learned
during lecture. Topics for the project can be freely determined. However, it must
be within the scope of the given theme (require instructor’s prior approval).
Students MUST consult with their instructor for design critique and progress of
the project.
Expected outputs of this project can be divided into three parts:
1. Product/prototype/model
2. Creative video promotion
3. Creative report
4. Group project presentation
