Honors Algebra II Guidelines - Mrs.

White
CLASSROOM
Mrs. White  SEATING: Assigned by me.
 BE ON TIME: Tardiness will not be tolerated.
 BE PREPARED: Laziness will not be tolerated.
You must bring the following to class everyday
→ Textbook → Notebook
→ Writing Device → Calculator (Preferably TI-84)
 BEHAVIOR: Inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.

HOMEWORK
 ASSIGNED NIGHTLY: Students will be assigned homework on a regular basis.
- Students are expected to complete their homework in entirety at all times.

GRADING
 ASSESSMENT TYPES: CHEATING WILL NOT BE TOLERATED!!
- Chapter tests - Quizzes
- Warm-ups - Hand-ins
- Projects - Presentations
 CALCULATION:
- Total number of points earned divided by the total number of points available

CUTTING CLASS
 COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE
- Student will receive a zero for any assignment, test, quiz, project, etc. that is
due on that day. Reference the school’s handbook for clarification is
necessary. Parents will be contacted.
- Students may not make up the work from this class period
EXTRA CREDIT:
- All students must have their own calculator when taking a test or quiz. If a
student does not have his/her calculator, they will complete the test/quiz
without it. It is recommended that each student has a TI-83 or TI-84
calculator.
- Students will be given a few chances for extra credit throughout the marking
period. NO EXTRA CREDIT WILL BE GIVEN AT THE END OF THE
MARKING PERIOD!!!!

ABSENCES
 YOUR RESPONSIBILITY
- YOU are responsible for getting all assignments when you are absent.
- Consult the Chapter Assignment Outline and/or my webpage for any
homework you may have missed while you were out.
- You will be given one full week to make up any missed tests or quizzes on
your own time. Any incomplete assessments after this time allowance will
result in a zero.
- You are expected to come for extra help or to visit the Math Resource Center
(F – 138) when you are out.
EXTRA HELP (I don’t know what you don’t know if you don’t ask!)
 SCHEDULE
- Tuesdays after school - Please inform me if you are planning on attending so I
can prepare specific material for your needs.
- By appointment. I am more than willing to help you at a time more
convenient for you as long as I have prior notice.
- Math Resource Center (F-138).
