STUDENT PORTAL SOLUTION AND RESULT COMPUTATION

INTRODUCTION:
TouchAm Softwork Limited, is a privately owned company licensed to operate Computer
Technology Services and consultancy under the laws of Federal Republic of Nigeria with its
principal place of business situated at Oshogbo, Osun State, Nigeria
The company is a solution-oriented, dynamic and indigenous Information Technology (IT)
service provider, which is wholly owned and managed by Nigeria professionals from diverse
IT backgrounds, albeit with a value for quality service delivery.
PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
TouchAm SOFTWORKS LIMITED will provide Summit University Offa, Nigeria (SUNO) with
Student Portal Solution and Result Computation System with the following features:
1. Result Management System
Result management module contains the Results, Progress, Student, Course, and
Examination. It manages all information pertaining to Results, Activities and Grading. This
module enables individual lecturers upload their respective results in excel format.

Functionality provided by the module include:

1. Tracks all information of students, courses and activities
2. Manages student Information.
3. Shows the information and description of the Results and Progress
4. Increase efficiency of Managing the result and Students
5. Editing, adding and updating of records and proper resource management of result
data.
6. Integration of all Examination records
7. Keep tracks of individual students GPA and CGPA. System also graduates students per
session.

2. Course Registration System

The course registration module is implemented such that the registration of course is online
for both college officers and students to add new courses and register for courses
respectively. The course registration is activated immediately a student has made payment
of 60% of the total tuition for a particular session. Each student is required to register for
courses per session.
The system is divided in to seven levels of levels:
1. System Users
2. Course Registration module
3. Generate Reports
4. Payment Module
5. Lecturer Module
a. Examination Officer
b. Level Adviser
c. Head of Department
d. Dean of Colleges
6. Student Module
7. Graduating List

3. Fees Payment and Management Module: The module allows for easy registration as the
collection of fee is integrated with the REMITA platform.

4. Users and Roles Management Module

a) Setting and granting of designated user roles and permissions
b) Audit trail of activities of individual users of the platform
c) Access Auto-lock on inactivity or authorized access

5. Student Management Module: Student Management System deals with all kinds of
student details, academic related reports, course details, and other resource related details.
Student Management system tracks all the details of a student from the first day to the end
of his/her course which can be used for all reporting purpose, tracking enrollment, progress
in the course, completed semester, year, final exam result and all these would be available
for future reference too.
PROJECT DESIGN AND DEVELOPMENT:
The technology employed for the design and development of the solution is premised on
Django, a Phyton framework that supports MVC Architecture, ensuring clarity between logic
and presentation. MVC helps in improving performance, allows better documentation and
has multiple built-in functionalities. The backend rests on MySQL Database but can be
plugged into any RDBMS as may be desired by the Institution.

OBLIGATIONS OF TouchAm Softworks:

For the effective implementation of the aforementioned, TouchAm Softworks will develop
and deploy an Enterprise e-Portal Solution of a typical Private University System that will
ensure the following:
 The solution envisages the use of Bank WebPay procedure to enhance the mode of
payment. This means that students from anywhere in the country can pay to any bank
and get their e-Portal credited automatically.
 Improve the institutional handling of payment of student fees, students’ registration,
checking of examination results (GPA and CGPA), Examination Clearance and issuance
of transcripts, and other features mentioned above.
 Enhance effective communication between students and Management.
 Through the usage of the WebPay, the students can also decide to choose the
“payment by card” option to pay the school fee or the application fee as the case
might be.
 To provide system maintenance throughout the contract period (as agreed by both
parties).
 Provide an online presence to handle the e-Portal issues at real time during the
contract period.

OBLIGATIONS OF SUMMIT UNIVERSITY OFFA:

 To provide a secured foreign host platform where the software will be deployed and
hosted
 To encourage the use of the solution after deployment.
 To provide the requisite data and information.
 To buy necessary development components external to the solution.
OBLIGATIONS OF BOTH PARTIES:
TouchAm Softworks shall ensure the delivery and security of the system and also take
measures to forestall the compromise of the system to corruption or unapproved access or
adjustment by either herself or any persons working under with her permission during the
contract period. SUMMIT UNIVERSITY OFFA shall ensure that access is given only to
authorized/designated staff for the use of the system to avert the compromise or exposure
of the system to corruption or unapproved access or adjustment to the system during the
contract period.

PRODUCT COST
The estimate cost of the solution/software is one million and five hundred thousand naira
only (N1,500,000.00), this would be A one-time pay-off by SUMMIT UNIVERSITY OFFA with
the release of the contents, source codes and resources to the University.

CONCLUSION:
This MoU is for the consideration of the Management of Summit University Offa, Nigeria.
We hope to deliver effectively and robustly if given the opportunity to serve.
