VRS CONNECTING OPERATION MANUAL

The needing parameter ：

� IP address and COM Port(When user scan receiver by Bluetooth
function ,the system will give a COM Port for the receiver. please use
the COM Port which system giving ,like below figure is 7,but
sometime is 8 or 0) （ the bluetooth connection way refers to the
chapter 4 section 2 of engineer star user manual
manual）
� connected between GPRS and APN Mount Point
� user name and password
� In the receiver S86 operation,we must set GPRS as the data link
firstly in the mode select menu(please refer to S86 manual)

Take PSION controller as an example for VRS connecting operation:

Copy the SOUTH SET and SOUTH TEST programs to Flash Disk of controller
the SOUTH SET program as the below figure 1-1

Double-Click the program quickly, the window as the figure 1-2 will appear on the screen of
controller, then Select other in the Link S82 item ,then you need input the COM Port number (as
the figure 1-3,the number is 7,the same as the system distributes when you search bluetooth),
open
when the last operation has finished, user can presses the “open
open” button (as the figure 1-4)., and
read
then, click the “read
read” button(figure 1-5)

Note:If the parameters being read is the parametes of the CORS Station

that you want to use.You needn’t set it again.If no,please set the right

parameters.

To connect VRS with GPRS, User should use VRS mode by inputting the

IP address, COM Port

Note:all set parameters of GPRS will have been saved in GPRS model, there is no need to set
it next time, users can collect the data after finishing the connection between receiver and
controller.But Before starting your work,I suggest you can enter SET so ftware and open the
software
Read Button according to sure your work successful.

Caution:the APNSERY code in this place as the same as the APNSERY code in the mobile
phone. Please contact with network manufacturing who issue the card for you.It is very
important for the whole work..you can refer to the figure 1-7,which APNSERY code was
given by China mobile.usually is cmwap or cmnet.

When you find Set all Parameter Completed!,please Click the Read Button to
check if the Parameters has been saved.It is very important! If yes,click the OK
button and enter Test software..If no,you have to set it again.

Note:Please Do not click the List button.IT IS NO ANY FUNCTION

Select the way of connection and COM Port, then press the “open “button, the data received will
appeared. Please refer to the figure 2-1 and 2-2 .The coordinates information received will appears
in the display by pressing Master button

Note:please do not click Test1 and Test2.If you still can

If connection still can’t successful,you can input SOUTH,CSQ command to check the signal
intensity.see the following figure from Figure 3-1 to Figure 3-4.If Signal value is ok,PLEASE
CHECK YOUR INTERNET NETWORK.

Note : only when “R” appears in the left- top corner of the screen, it appears “net connected”
under the item of SET ,or it will appear the radio set.

If use RTCM3.0,
please select”RTCM3”

Click the “set” in Engineer Star, the rover set menu will appear, then the user can select the
appropriate format of different data in it As the following ：Engineer Star:→Set→Rove set.

Note: users needn’t set and test any parameter in the next time, but only need open the receiver
and connect the receiver with controller.

After connect successfully,and the status is fixed(as figure 2-9), we can start to survey. If you want
to use Hongkong 80 coordinate system,the parameters setting is as follow,
1. New Job. Make a new job,input job name,as figure 3-1,2

2.Input ellipsoid parameters.Select user define,and input semi-major axis value and inverse
flattening value, in Hongkong the parameters are as follow,a=6378388, inverse flattening is 297.

3.Set projection parameters. Hongkong projection parameters are as follows,

4.Seven parameters setting. Hongkong’s 7 paremeter setting is as follows,

After set these parameters, we can press OK to finish it.Then we can start to survey.
