A measuring tape was used to get an accurate measurement before the Bristol
Board was set up to get the height chart. Starting at 30cm ending at 184cm.The
unit of the charts were in 5’s. The chart was placed on the wall of the school. 80
students were measured, they placed the heel of their foot against the wall and
their body standing straight with their head up right. A pencil was used to
measure the top of their heads. We used the code 5001-5040 for the students in
the fifth year and 1001-1040 for the students in the first year. The height was
measured in cm.
Table 1: This table shows the height of 40 students from the Fifth Year.
Table 2: This table shows the height of 40 students from the First Year.

DATA ANALYSIS
When comparing the histograms we can see that both of the modal classes for
the fifth and first years are the same, 160-164cm. Also, for the frequencies on
the graphs are the same for the modal classes 150-154cm for the fifth years and
135-139,140-144 for the first years; 155-159cm for the first years and 165-
169cm for the fifth years.
For the frequency polygon the points on the graph are only in the same points
for 162. However, they have the same corresponding numbers such as
152,157,162,167,172,177. Concluding, they both end at the same position on
the x axis.
For the cumulative frequency the fifth years curve is exactly like the first years
only thing is it is shorter because the first years has three more class than the
fifths.
CONCLUSION
In conclusion, the varied heights caused the graphs to have different shapes.
