A 36.4 Water
B 3.0 Glycerin
B 0.3 Xanthan gum (cosmetic or food grade)
C 60.0 100% strength ethanol OR 100% strength isopropyl alcohol
• Do NOT use methylated spirits
• Do NOT use denatured ethanol
C 0.3 Lavender essential oil
• Do NOT use bergamot, bitter orange, grapefruit, lemon or lime essential
oils
Total: 100.0%

1. Combine phase B, stir to make a slurry.


2. Add slurried phase B to phase A, and stir through until a smooth gel forms.
3. Combine phase C and stir to ensure homogenous.
METHOD

4. Add phase C slowly, and in increments, to phase A/B while stirring. Make sure gel
reforms between each addition of phase C before adding more phase C. Repeat this until all
of phase C has been added to phase A/B. Continue stirring to ensure gel is smooth and
properly formed.
Final pH will be 6 – 6.5 – no need to adjust.
