REFLECTION: MARCH 28, Teleconferencing Experience

Interactive Teaching Tools

COC is shuttering their doors to mitigate the spread of COVID-19. In turn, educators

have had to respond by taking their courses online within a matter of days. Our class with Dr.

Gina Labitad on interactive teaching tools is very timely because we have experience a real

life experience on interactive teaching. Group 4 reported the different examples of interactive

teaching that could be utilized in the classroom.

Based on my experience during our teleconferencing, the class is enjoyable, fun, and

engaging. Since the introduction of interactive technology, experts in the teaching field has

noted a significant increase in the level of motivation and engagement in the classroom, and

this is one of the advantages of interactive teaching. Some of the latest technologies used in

the interactive learning environment allow teachers to gamify their lessons, bring the element

of competition in learning, and more importantly, bringing the aspect of achievement tiers

into the learning process. Additionally, the broad array of free apps and tools currently

available gives learners the ability to design all kinds of digital content allowing their

imagination to be limited only by the sky! In this light, interactive learning technology gives

learners the freedom and choice to decide on how they are going to present their work,

leading to fun, enjoyable, and engaging learning process.

I realized that Interactive teaching is very helpful for those who find that professional

demands have increased over the past few years. For those administrators who require proof

of how material is being presented in a classroom, it most certainly provides the necessary

evidence. As Dr. Labitad says that, the use of interactive teaching is an evident that the

teacher is using technology especially in times of promotion that this is one of the

requirement that the teacher must be adept in using technology.
