DEAD LOAD:

Dead load are in accordance with IS 456 and based on densities defined.

2. SUPERIMPOSED DEAD LOAD:

> Load of rail with fixtures and track bed (based on second stage concrete of 250mm).
Assuming rail load with fixtures as : 3.5 kN/m.
Assuming plinth as 0.6 m * 0.6 m, load: 9 kN/m
Total Load: 3.5 + 9 = 12.5 kN/m2.
Assuming dispersion width as 0.6 m (same as pinth width).
Load intensity= 12.5 / 0.6 = 20.8 kN/m 2.
 Second Pour concrete:
Assuming 100mm thick uniform over the base slab: 2.5 kN/m 2.
 For station area floor finish:
2kN/m2 (100mm for back of house; 150mm for public areas).
 Ceiling: 0.5 kN/m2.
 Services: 1.5 kN/m2 as from system supplier.

3. LIVE LOAD:
> On Roof Slab = 17.0 kN/m2.
> On Mezzanine and Concourse Level Slab = 7.50 kN/m 2.
> On Basement Level = 16 kN/m2.
> Service Load at All Level = 1.5 kN/m 2. ( same as services considered in superimposed load).
4. SOIL LOADS:
Soil load are considering accordance with the geotechnical design parameters which are adopted for
design from the soil investigation report.

> Soil loads are calculated considering ground water table below the base and cosidering submerged
condition cosidering 1.6 meter below Ground Level.

5. HYDROSTATIC PRESSURES:
Lateral Hydrostatic pressure shall be adopted as the height of water table from the section being
considered.

> For Buoyancy ( uplift load): The pressure shall be adopted at the depth of base slab soffit below
the water table.

6. CONSTRUCTION AND ERECTED LOAD:

> On Roof Slab = 5.6 kN/m2.
> On Basement and Other level Slab = 6.8 kN/m2.
7. DESIGN SURCHARGE LOADING:
> For Service Stage: 17 kN/m2.
> Ultimate: 25 kN/m2.
