    MANILA - On February 11, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte gave an official warning to the US
    Embassy in Manila of its purpose to end the country’s twenty-year-old Visiting Forces
    Agreement (VFA) with Washington. In line with this matter, our country and the United States
    are in negotiation for the crafting of a better version of the Visiting Forces Agreement (VFA)
    after President Duterte decided to abolish the military agreement this month.
