HK Training
Objective

 Achieve Fleet wide consistency in bed

making

 Provide a comprehensive training tool for

the same
Our Goal

 Exceed our Guest expectation by providing

a well presented and most comfortable bed
Note
 This training presentation is generic and
although bed configuration may vary, the
basics of “mitering” corner and centering
pillows for example, remains the same

 The end result needs to be a crisp, well

presented bed for our guest
Note
 Now that we are working as a team of 2
stewards, all beds must be made by both
stewards as a team
 This is true for both linen change days and
regular days
 The above is mandatory and not an option

 When beds are stripped of old linen, the

blankets and pillows are never placed on the
floor
 The blanket and pillows may be placed neatly
on the sofa or chair

REMEMBER
Bed Making Training - Stateroom
 Check that sheets have no stains before
putting them on the bed
 If sheets and pillow cases are stained during
the cruise you MUST change them regardless
if it is linen change day or not
 If you find the sheets and pillow cases are
stained at each service they MUST be
changed at each service (morning and
turndown)
 If Pillow case is stained DO NOT turn them
over and hide the stain but change the pillow
case
Bed Making Training
 Pillows need to be centered in the middle of each mattress
 Bed pad must fit the bed configuration; twin bed should have
1 twin pad per bed and King bed should have a king size
pad
 Fit and fix the bed skirting properly daily once the bed is
made up
 NEVER use knots or tie sheets together when making the
bed
 If guests would like an addition blanket put it under the top
sheet and advise guest you have done so
