TUTORING EXPERIENCE:
Chemistry Walk-in Tutor: Winter 2018- Summer 2019
Instruct general, organic, inorganic, and analytical chemistry to college students individually or in small
groups to better understand problem-solving methods and chemical concepts.
Structured Learning Assistance Facilitator: Winter 2017 – Winter 2018
Lead small group discussions, create one-hour activities and work with professors and students in an
entry-level chemistry course.
Scheduled Tutor: Winter 2016 – Fall 2017
Solidify general chemistry concepts for students in a small group setting.
RESEARCH EXPERIENCE:
Design and conduct a quasi-experiment to evaluate how chemistry faculty assign partial credit to
general chemistry question. 2016 – 2017.
Conduct interviews with chemistry faculty and then transcribe and analyze the interviews using a
coding system. 2017 - 2020.
Present pilot study at the Biennial Conference on Chemical Education to 50+ chemical educators.

Present pilot study at Student Scholars Day and for Chemistry Capstone. Winter 2019.

Equestrian Stable Assistant: 2013 – 2017
Independently feed, water, and care for twenty-nine horses after school, during the weekends and during
the summer.
Wild Rivers Invasive Species Field Technician: May 2016 - August 2016, May 2017 - August 2017
Work independently and in a team to eradicate multiple invasive species, using hand-pulling methods,
backpack sprayers, and handheld sprayers.
Educate local boaters about aquatic invasive species are and how to stop the spread of them.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE:
High School Tutor: 2015-2016
Assist teacher and students in a chemistry classroom by helping create lesson plans and
assisting students with worksheets and other activities.
TEAM 21 Volunteer: 2015-2016
Assist team members with daily tasks and facilitate activities for students in a middle
school setting.

Work one-on-one with first grade students to improve reading comprehension.
