Writing an original fairy tale!

Goal:
 Your goal is to write your own fairy tale using the characteristics of fairy
tales we have been discussing in class.

Role:
 You are the author and illustrator of your own story

Audience:
 You will get to share your story with classmates and teachers so be sure to
write a story you would enjoy sharing with them!

Situation:
 You have been asked to show everything you have learned about fairy tales
by writing your own original fairy tale story!

Standards and Criteria for Success:

 Your fairy tale must include…
o At least 3 of the characteristics of fairy tales discussed in class
o A full story- including a setting, plot, conflict, and resolution
o At least 2 original characters
o If you have time to publish, your story should have illustrations
