It is our goal to create a new mental health policy that “reflects the goals and ethos of the school community”
(Fertman, Delgado, & Tarasevich, 2014, p. 64). Whether you have a child or neighbor in our district or you
work in a local community business, we are hoping to represent the values of the entire community.
- Youth Risk Behavior Surveillance System - School Health Index (SHI): allows us to
(YRBSS): monitors health risk behaviors identify the strengths and weakenesses of

FERPA (Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act) is the current policy that grants
parents the right to access and edit their children’s school records.
HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Acountability Act) is the policty that regulates
with whom your healthcare provider can share infromation with.
