D. Concept When you are in the kitchen, it pays to know exactly where everything is, at all
times. Organisation is vital amid the chaos of the activity here, and many chefs are
extremely fastidious about the placement of cabinets, benchtops and appliances
within their kitchen.

Motivation The mystery message in game. The learners will try to decipher the Masonian
code being given to them. The learners will be divided into 5 groups and each of
them will have roles to take part of the said activity

3. Do you have an idea about our topic this afternoon?
4. What do you think is our topic this afternoon?
Presentation of the Lesson
A. Activity Group Activity
The learners will be grouped into 5, each of the learners will have to assign each
individuals to do an assigned task. Each group will draw the following symbols:

B. Ask the learners the following questions:

2. What do you mean by signs and symbols?
3. What is a kitchen floor plan sign and symbols?
C. Abstraction SLIDE SHOW PRESENTATION
A slide show presentation showing the signs and symbols of kitchen floor layout
will be shown to the learners.

Ask learners the following:


1. What have you noticed on the picture presented?
2. Where do you often see this signs and symbols?
3. What is a blueprint?
4. Is a blue print necessary when making a design in the kitchen?
D. Application The learners will create their dream kitchen layout using the signs and symbols
presented.
IV. Evaluation Interpret the architectural kitchen symbols and layout of Dock side restaurant in
Inopacan, Leyte
