1. SMART goal is an acronym that is used to guide goal setting. Its criteria are commonly attributed to
Peter Drucker Managment by Objectives concept. Acc. to Proffesor Robert S. Rubin, that SMART has
come to mean different things to different people. To make sure that goals are reachable. And According
to Paul Meyer this is the SMART used.

Specific-goals must be clear and specific otherwise you won't be able to focus. If your goals will going to
be vague you won't able to focus which one should be done first. And it may result to failure.

Measurable-assessing progress helps to stay focused and meet deadlines. Each step should be
measurable and well planned theres should be timeline on every step that we make.

Achievable-goals should be realistic and attainable to be successful. It's hard to set a goal that is fictional
because its impossible to happen. When we set our goals it should be clear-sighted and possible to
happen.

Relevant- ensuring that goals matter to you and also align with other relevant goals

Time-bound- every goal needs a target and it must have a deadline to focus and also to meet your
expected outcome. If someone really care about the deadline he will put his efforts to achieve the goal
that he wanted to have.

2. LIMITATION OF MBO

Time Consuming- since MBO is a systematic approach it requires a lot of time and decision making.
Decisions requires a lot of time to reach the solution or objectives. Managements should make a lot of
meetings because every decision has to be done. Every decision has be made clearly to achieve the
organizational objectives. The manager should also consider the merits and demerits of the possible
althernatives. And every thing should be reviewed and revised.
