‘Selfie’- a death mode??

~Aakruti Kalia
"Selfie" typically refers to self-portrait photos taken with the
camera held at arm's length, as opposed to those taken by using
a self-timer or remote. Today, phones are easily accessible in any
part of the world and taking selfies is rather convenient.
Although it was made for self-entertainment, today it has become
a daring sport.
We humans are taking selfies literally everywhere, be it in front if
the washroom mirror or be it in the mid-pacific with a shark!! We
think that posting such daring selfies on social media such as
Snapchat and Instagram make us look cool and impressive but it’s
a foolish act that can take our lives. Selfies while driving in heavy
traffic can lead to major road accidents not only risking our lives,
but others’ too. Standing next to a boiling volcano may appear
awesome but we’ll end up singing ourselves head-to-toes. Same
way, pouting with a shark in mid-pacific maybe a wow factor, but
you might as well end up on its dining table
Therefore, while taking selfies one needs to be aware of ones
surroundings and not end up in a shark’s belly after its dinner.
STAY SAFE!
