GENERATION Z UNDER THE INFLUENCE OF THE COVID-19

I came here today to talk about something that I’ve been thinking about this crisis that
we’re all going through and I think before the COVID-19 many people had among their
goals to leave home conquer the world in the economically, professionally, or
academically, but they had lost the conquest of their homes. The Lord brought us home
to take back the family. Don’t waste the opportunity.
I also think that there are many students who have taken all this time to be home on
vacation, neglecting their duties and spending time on idleness and expressing concern
about the COVID-19, taking this as an excuse to evade his responsibility as students.
These students who have neglected their studies to invest time in social media, putting
these media to bad use, I could compare this tool as a virus that has spread around the
world turning all the dependent and captives in their homes avoiding a personal contact
with others.
Technological means make the teaching process easier and more flexible but students
miss out on these tools by misusing them, I could say that this generation z is under the
virus of networks.
The COVID-19 should serve as a wake-up call, for this the educational institutions have
to promote a Flexible learning approaches in the context of COVID-19 and other global
challenges, such as the expansion of the student population, growing inequality and
more, can help higher education institutions to prepare and respond to these risks and
crises effectively, since generation z has grown up with a highly sophisticated media
and computer environment and will be more Internet savvy and expert than
their forerunners.
This highly diverse environment will make the grade schools of the next generation the
most diverse ever. Higher levels of technology will make significant inroads in
academics allowing for customized instruction, data mining of student histories to
enable pinpoint diagnostics and remediation or accelerated achievement opportunities.
While COVID-19 is a temporary crisis, it should serve as a wake-up call for higher
education systems to flex their access and transfer pathways and ensure the provision of
flexible educational delivery modes that serve diverse populations of learners.
with all of the above I want to invite all students to take advantage of the time and make
good use of it to make this crisis a pleasant moment.
