ATOTO A6Pro Gesture Sensor Installation Requirements EN PDF
ATOTO A6Pro Gesture Sensor Installation Requirements EN PDF
There are two models of A6 Pro that come with hands gesture control feature;
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Actually, we haven’t get these mounting dash kit to test and confirm if / to what extent the sensor performance will be
affected. It seems A6Y2721PR-G can challenge this installation, as its sensor is located top right, where the plastic frame
may not block the IR Light sent from gesture sensors!
2. For certain vehicles, the operation of turning the steering wheel may cause the hands to go through the gesture
operation area, or the operation of turning on wiper controller may also cause the same effect, and the system
responds/reacts unexpectedly.
See examples below:
We summarized and found very few vehicles may have this potential issues for installing one of the 2 A6 Pro models,
and in such case, we recommend users consider the other model from them (the sensor of the model is just far
enough from the steering wheel operation).
Most vehicles will not have this issue (no matter which model A6Y2721PRB-G, or A6Y2721PR-G you are going to
install), and users just need to pay attention to availability of the installation mounting frame and wiring harness
adaptor.
See examples below:
3. For certain vehicles, the location of factory car stereo or the location that can be installed with an aftermarket car
stereo may be quite low (see image below), so if the ATOTO A6Y2721PRB-G or A6Y2721PR-G is installed, the driver’s
gear shift operation might be taken as gesture movements by system, and passenger’s body movements may also be
mis-recognized. So we do not recommend installation of either one of ATOTO gesture control models in these vehicles.
