EDARAN PENCEGAHAN CORONA VIRUS DISEASE

(COVID-19) DI LINGKUNGAN FAKULTAS HUKUM UGM

In accordance with the Circular Letter of the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Indonesia
No. 3 of 2020 concerning the Prevention of the Corona Virus Disease (COVID-19) in Education
Institutions, and the Circular Letter of the Rector of UGM No 1604/UNI.P/HKL/TR/2020 concerning the
Precaution and Prevention of the Spreading of COVID-19 in UGM, we hereby announce the following
recommendations:

A. General
1. Wash your hands, as many times as possible, with soap (20 seconds minimum) or hand sanitizers as
appropriate, which are provided in various strategic locations around Fakultas Hukum UGM, and
conduct a clean and healthy lifestyle.
2. Avoid direct physical contact (shaking hands, etc).
3. Check your temperature with the devices available in various locations in Fakultas Hukum UGM.
4. Do not share food, drinks, and eating/drinking utensils.
5. Do not touch the stairs and door handles. Doors shall be opened by pushing with the elbow, back, or
other parts of the body.
6. Do not push lift buttons directly with your finger, rather do so with the elbow or other parts of the
body.
7. Students, lecturers, support staff, contract-employees, and interns who are unwell must immediately
request dispensation and must not come to campus.
8. Maintain cleanliness and give due concern towards the cleaning facilities by reporting to the General
and Logistics Division (Bagian Umum dan Perlengkapan) Fakultas Hukum UGM, via the following
phone numbers: 081231119440 (Mr. Urip) or 085878795622 (Mrs Sisca).
9. Suspend all activities involving more than 10 people (with due consideration of distance) or other
activities outside campus area.
10. Students and families who have traveled to infected states as published by the World Health
Organization (WHO) are requested not to send to, pick up from, or be in campus area for 14 days since
their return to Indonesia.

B. Academics
1. Encourage lectures for all levels of studies: Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctorate, from 16 – 31
March 2020, to be conducted online via Webex Cisco, Elok and Elisa, instead of face-to-face. We will
re-evaluate the situation upon the completion of the said period.
2. Lecturers who require technical assistance in conducting online classes will be assisted by a special team.

3. Thesis defenses for Undergraduate, Postgraduate, and Doctorate students will commence as per usual,
while being careful to avoid the means of infection.
C. Research and Community Service
1. Delay or cancel research and community service activities involving large numbers of people, including
high school visits.
2. Replace field researches involving large numbers of people with other methods to the furthest extent
possible.
3. Utilize the spare time as result of all these changes to continue research duties by reading and writing.
