Site Analysis
Site Introduction
• The Site is in the district of Bhambore, Thatta, Sindh.
• It is 65 Km away from Karachi. Part of the Rural context of
Sindh.
• The history of the ancient city dates back to the 1st
century BC.
• In 2004, Department of Archaeology and Museums
Pakistan submitted the site for UNESCO World Heritage
Sites.
• Presently the site, is an agricultural and textile/industrial
area.
• With the site being near the Indus delta, Wind currents
are strong and there are wind energy farms in the local
vicinity.

• Specific area chosen on site, due to privacy


and noise concerns.
• Considering the program of the project is
recreational chalets, privacy and seclusion
should be main concern.
• Views open up to the creek with no built in to the
distance in the south west direction.
• Wind coming directly from South west of site.
• North-East covers the site with shurbs and marshy
vegetation increasing privacy.
