{I) These Regulations. may be called the Gujarat Indstrial Dev,e!opment General Development
condition. for ~Iotlla,jd allotted in GIDC Estate Regulations, 1996,
(2) These Regulations may come into force wirh immediate effect
(3)' These conditiens shall apply to all GIDC Estates, except the csjates falling within the limits of
Urban/Area D.!Vei.)pment Authorities constitutedlDesignated under the Gujarat Town Planning
and Urban De','eJopment Ac~ 1976,
(4) The building ;onditions of GIDC at present in force are herehy modified and replaced by
these conditio:1S. Saving not withstanding such modifiecation anything done or any action
taken under the regulations in force prior to such modificalion shaU be,deemed to be valid
and continle to be so valid unless and otherwise specified.

(5) DEFINfTIONS:

5(1) "Act" means the Gujarat Industrial Development Act, 1962.


5(2) II Blllcony'l means the horizontal projection. including a hand rail, or balustrade to
serve as passage or sitting out place.
5.2{a) Balcony projection may be permitted upto maximum L2 meters width only
within 3 meters or more wide margins.
(b) Balcony may be permitted on ground floor provided ma~ins to be Jeft is 3

5(3) "Basement or Celler" means the lower storey of a building below or partly below

9. Floor Space Index (I'SI) :

9(1) For residctial anti industrial development. the maximum permis'iible floor space index
(pSI) of. building uilit shall be 1:6 for law rise building. Maxi';um built up area on
any floor for Jaw rise buifding shaU be 50% of the area ofbuilduig unit for industrial
and 400/G for residential and commercial purpose. For commer~i1ll development. the
maximum petmissible floor space index for low rise buiding shall be 1.6,
