Introduction
An SOP-LOR builder is a website which is developed to simplify the task of creating a SOP
(Statement of Purpose) or LOR (Letter of Recommendation) for individuals who wants to study
abroad. This website provides an effective way of designing the document in an efficient
manner. This application is designed to reduce the need of thinking and to write your true
thoughts in a formulated manner. Mostly individuals get confused while writing a SOP like how
to reflect your personal journey towards a goal you have, the reason why you are choosing that
particular country, particular university and the specific course or why should the organization
or university choose you to be a part of their endeavor. They don’t get a clear idea of what
things and information must be included in a document. Hence the system is developed to
provide them an easy way for creating a professional well written SOP and LOR.

This project is designed to assist in designing a well structured SOP and LOR which will help
you stand out from the rest of the crowd. This application is user-friendly and requires minimum
human intervention. Individuals just have to fill up a form that specifies questions from all
required fields such as personal questions, educational, qualities, interest, skills and so on. The
answers provided by the users will automatically generates a well structured document. Users
have option to create SOP or LOR in any format and file.

Existing work
The traditional way of writing a SOP (Statement of Purpose) or LOR (Letter of
Recommendation) is by using some samples which are present over the internet or by following
some guidelines. The content available over internet is average and not as per the requirement of
an Individual. There are writters available in the market but they charges money which is not
required for a single document. There are not such tools or online applications available to help
the user in designing SOP or LOR.

Proposed work

In our project, we have used automation to make the process easy and less stressful for our
customer. There are tools and new features available that will do the work for you. The user just
have to fill the required data and the document will get generate in a short span of time. The user
can also select the format of the document. There are huge options available at each step of the
process to guide the user to make the best or most suitable choice in making their SOPs or
LORs. It make sure you submit the well-written SOP and LOR which will guarantee the positive
results.

The choices will be there as per the qualification and skills for SOP and LOR format. It will
reduce stressful work in thinking and designing document and it will be convenient for
aspirants. The application wil be free of cost and will be satisfactory for our users. The major
advantage is it will save alot of time and will reduce efforts.

Modules:
 Login page: User has to register into the application for downloading the
SOP or LOR or to utilize other services.
 SOP-LOR templates: The application have various samples for all kind of
qualification such as MS, PG or other courses. And also according to the
kind of degree one has.
 Editable form: Users on selecting the format will be given an online form
to be filled. The form includes questions like academics, personal, interests,
hobbies, skills, courses, experience and so on.
 Online builder: On submitting the form the application stores the data and
generates SOP or LOR within a few seconds.
 Choice of file: User also given option to choose the kind of file they wish to
create the document i.e. in PDF file or word file.
 Export facility: Users can even export the file from word to PDF or vice-
versa.

Conclusion and Future Scope:

Here in this project “SOP-LOR Builder” we provide a platform to build the SOP and
LOR online by provide a step by step guide and options to choose from as per the requirements.
We also provide numbers of sample templates to opt for as per the courses. The user gets
registered into the site then the website accesses the user id and password. When the user needs
to get login again, user need to enter his or her user id and passwords. After the authentication
process is successful, the system will display your account, it will show your previous history
and you can continue your work. It will make sure your SOP and LOR stand out from the
competition too.
The enhancement which can be done to increase the applicability and usage of this
project are we can add some advanced features such as option to send the document to the
respective person, university or organization. We can also provide a platform to store the
document on the cloud database.
