This document is a corrigendum providing a relaxation of eligibility criteria for faculty positions at Delhi Technological University. Relaxation of 5% of marks (from 55% to 50% ) in Academic Qualification is given to the candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste/Scheduled Tribe/Other Backward Classes (OBC- Non-Creamy Layer)/Differently-abled ((a) Blindness and low vision; (b) Deaf and Hard of Hearing; (c) Locomotor disability including cerebral palsy, leprosy cured, dwarfism, acid- attack victims and muscular dystrophy; (d) Autism, intellectual disability, specific learning disability and mental illness; (e) Multiple disabilities from amongst persons under (a) to (d) including deaf-blindness) for the purpose of eligibility and assessing good academic record for direct recruitment. The eligibility marks of 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever the grading system is followed) and the relaxation of 5% to the categories mentioned above are permissible, based only on the qualifying marks without including any grace mark procedure. The candidates, applied/applying for the post of Assistant Professor in the disciplines of Applied Physics and Engineering Physics, Mathematics and Computing, Bio Technology, Polymer Science, Humanities (Economics and English) and Economics (USME) should be of Science and Humanities Background only where Essential Qualification is mentioned as M.Sc./M.A./Master’s Degree in relevant branch with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point scale wherever grading system is followed) and must have cleared NET conducted by UGC or similar test accredited by UGC like SLET/SET. Candidates who have been awarded a Ph.D. degree in accordance with UGC Ph.D. regulations 2009 may be exempted from the requirement of NET/SLET/SET. Further, a relaxation of 5% of marks shall be provided (from 55% to 50%) to all the Ph.D. Degree holders who have obtained their Master’s Degree prior to September 19, 1991. Only those candidates who could not become eligible due to non-availability of 5% of marks relaxation (from 55% to 50%) in the Academic Qualification in earlier advertisements, may now apply online, if eligible, as per above relaxation in marks in Academic Qualification, provided they fulfill all other eligibility criteria as prescribed in the earlier advertisements. The last date for applying online is 22.02.2020.
