1. Explain the title of the book in relation with the content of the book. Suggest another 0
1
title to the book. 2
The connection between the title and the content of the book is that the main character, 3
4
Harry Potter, is immersed in an adventure about the philosopher's stone. As another 5
title of the book, I can suggest: The adventures of Harry Potter and his friends.

2. Which passage from the book impressed you the most? 0

1
My favorite moment is then Harry in the final room, finds Quirinus Quirrell, the 2
Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, who reveals he had been the one working 3
4
behind the scenes to kill Harry by first jinxing his broom and then letting a troll into the 5
school, while Snape had been trying to protect Harry instead. Quirrell is helping 6
Voldemort, whose face has sprouted on the back of Quirrell's head but is constantly 7
concealed by his oversized turban, to attain the Philosopher's Stone so as to restore his 8
9
body. Quirrell uses Harry to get past the final obstacle, the Mirror of Erised, by forcing 10
him to stand before the Mirror. It recognises Harry's lack of greed for the Stone and
surreptitiously deposits it into his pocket. As Quirrell attempts to seize the stone and
kill Harry, his flesh burns on contact with the boy's skin and breaks into
blisters. Harry's scar suddenly burns with pain and he passes out.
3. Explain, with the help of arguments, why you like this book. Describe the feelings that 0
1
you had while reading the book. 2
I like this book very much, because it is about magic. I really like science fiction and 3
4
I'm always curious about what will happen next in the story. When I read this book, I 5
had all the feelings. 6
J. K. Rowling was able to convey a sense of sadness when Ron sacrificed himself 7
during a game of chess. Feeling angry when teacher Quirinus Quirrell's turns out to be 8
9
a traitor. And of course the feeling of pride and joy when Harry wins in an unequal 10
battle!
4. Write about the main characters of the book. What are the qualities that make them 0
1
special? 2
The main characters of the book are Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione 3
4
Granger. They are special because no matter what kind of trouble they get into, they 5
can always handle it. Harry Potter is very brave. Hermione is cunning and resourceful. 6
Ron, despite all his fear, helps the children and even sacrifices himself! All of them 7
together are an invincible team that is not afraid of any difficulties. I like them very 8
9
much. 10
