Soil Collapse Safety Plan Report

 Introduction
An excavation process is carried out at the molasses tank project over an area of almost 1700 m² and
depth of 4.50 m. Eventually, some collapses have been observed at the edges of excavation area and
close to dewatering pipeline specially at points 1,2 and 8 (See figure 2). Hence, in order to protect the
pipeline from expected partial sand collapse (Figure 1) that prompt us to set a safety plan against the
possibility of a water line collapse, in two phases, as follows:

 Plan (A): Dig massive metal pegs outside excavation boundaries with sufficient distance and
fastening between them and dewatering pipeline with strong ropes as well as the deep wells
which already done at the four points indicated in below figures. (Figure 3,4 & 5)
 Plan (B): In case of soil collapse partially or totally beneath the dewatering pipeline, we are
ready to move on fabricating metal supporting posts from the deepest rigid / stable point below
pipes to maintain and guarantee the same height / elevation of the line so we assure the system
is working smoothly. (Figure 6)
