Artistic milliners garment exports is more than $24 million in the year 2019.
GAP and Target are two of their major clients. More than $14 Million of businees export comes for GAP.
Artistic Milliners recently won United nations award for women empowerment initiatives for impelmenting gender ratio man
Artistic Milliners have diversified their business portflio by eventuring inton Power sector through wind turbine investments.
2 production facilities of Artistic Milliners are Lead certified production unit.

FINDINGS
Supply chain planning department is on the 2nd floor where as R&D and sticthing departments are together on the 1st floor.
Plannig management team is located at the end of the floor.
Artiscti Milliners is known in the Textile industry as a customized manufacturer , that is, their R & D department developes var
such Levis and GAP and based on customer's requiremnts products are further customzied.
The supply chain planning department is futher structured into various teams based on clients and countries of origin from wh
example, a particluar team is solely responsible for all the clients from USA origin.
During the interview, team meeting session was also conducted where planning team shared the production line status for ea
status of raw amterial availability( referred as kapra)
FIFO method is implemented at the production line
Quarantine area is developed for audit preparation by Levis at the end of December 2019.

ISSUES
Lead time requirements from clients are shrinking and delays have started to become more frequent in raw material procurem
Raw material availability has been the most prominent issue for planning department, recently one of their supplier faced dela
which led to a delay in batch production for GAP.
Dollar rate fluctuation has impacted the flow of business, various client contracts have been renewed. Secondly, generally 25
chemicals is imported. Recent Dollar rate increased has increased thie raw maetrial cost which has impactd 2019 profitability.
Compliance requirements have increased drastically in the last 2 years by US based cleints. Quality protocols have reached to
comaprion to the last decade.
Shortage of gas for commerical usage has caused disreptions in the production line operations which has lead to foreast fluctu
2019.

Recommendations
Need to review vendor onboarding criteria, vendor collaboration should be introduced by sharing business insights with them
their supply chains as well.
Use of financial derivatives can incorporated int the capital structure to manage dollar exchange rates fluctuations.
Strategies to develop a balance between Lean and agile supply chain for a reasonable inventory management should be inrod
The management should focus on diversifiying their prodicut line. As of now the foucs in on bottoms only, where as tops mar
complexibility.
The management should review their supply chain network, trim warehouses are relativley far from the main production faci
logistics cost.
