I had to be sad about – and I get why
people feel that way. God, I feel it, too.
That’s part of the guilt. I have this lovely

A Strictly Come Dancing runner-up, TV
presenter and aspiring actress, Frankie
has struggled with a range of mental
health issues since childhood, freely listing
her battle with anxiety and panic attacks,
low mood, guilt and suicidal thoughts.
“I was born an anxious person,” she

a child there were things I should have

kids and I hope they’re not like that.”
As Frankie grew up, she started to have
trouble breathing, first at night and then
during the day. It frightened her, which
made it worse, but she didn’t realise she
shouldn’t feel that way. “There was never
a point when I realised something wasn’t

that happened to me. I chilled out a bit

A spicy solution
One way to cut down on salt is to use spices
as a substitute. Spices have been added to
national dietary guidelines in the US and

Spices may even bring health benefits
of their own. They are often rich in
polyphenols, a group of plant compounds
thought to have antioxidant properties,
which has led to them being touted as
