    The nursery rhyme describes a mother catching a flea and putting it in her teapot to make tea. When the flea jumps out, the mother shouts and calls daddy, who comes in with his shirt hanging out. The hand clapping song is about a sailor who goes to sea, chop wood, and kneel down to see what he can see or do. But each time, all he sees is the bottom of the deep blue sea, chopping area, or where he kneels. In the end, he tries all three but still only sees the bottom of the deep blue sea, chopping, and kneeling spot.
