Professional Responsibility

practice and cultural competence.
Artifact: EDU 256 Host Teacher Evaluations

Date: Fall 2019

Reflection: The artifact I selected for this standard is my EDU 256 host teacher

evaluations. These evaluations were conducted after I spent a week in both the

junior high and high school. During the week I observed, assisted in two different

types of classes. The junior high class was all boys and the high school was a

performance fitness class. This artifact relates to the component in the manner that

the teachers wrote about how I engaged with all students and engaged with staff in

a professional manner. Also, they discussed different strengths and weaknesses

based on my performance during their class. These notes and what they checked

off for me on the evaluation show that I had great professional responsibility

during my time there. This will help my development as a teacher because I was

able to make many connections with staff members and some students. It allowed

me the opportunity to work in two different classes and see two different settings

which will make me a more well-rounded teacher.
