Some Guidelines for Classroom Etiquette:

In order to maintain the most effective learning/teaching environment for

our class, please follow these guidelines relating to classroom etiquette.

1. Please maintain an atmosphere of respect for your fellow students and

your instructor at all times.

2. Please be on time for class. If you have to enter the classroom late,
please enter the classroom quietly and try not to disrupt/distract the
class. The student is responsible for making sure that his attendance
was entered into the attendance log.

3. Only students who provide legitimate excuses for absences are

eligible to make up participation points given for missed material.

4. Please try to remember to turn off the ringer on your cell phones
before entering class. I will try to do the same.

5. Use of personal computers/devices during class time will not be

permitted unless previously authorized by the professor.

6. Eye contact is a very important part of communication. Many times I

can tell if a student is following the class by must looking in his eyes.
As such, the use of sunglasses in my classes is not permitted.

7. Please refrain from using inappropriate language in the classroom.

8. Work turned in after the due dates (late) will be accepted only when
authorized by the professor and points may be deducted.

9. All course work must be turned in personally to the professor.
