9. Issues Fixed from previous 3Q19 SW package release
a. R1000 & V1000 Platform (Bilby)

1. BSOD is observed while running OCL Conformance test sample
2. DP to DVI (DP++) Hotplug display failure is observed with a few monitors
3. HDCP 2.2 Compliance over DP (QD980 box) failed on Raven1
4. DP certification fail on 3.1.4 Invalid EDID test
5. DP Audio Device cannot be used on Dell P2715Q
6. Black screen after S3 resume with HP monitor
7. AMD Graphic driver GFXOFF enablement can't be done by registry key setting
8. Resolution and orientation options freeze with HDMI @ 60Hz. The display comes
up, but the resolution and orientation cannot be changed
9. Display blank out observed after enabling Freesync in monitor with HDMI
10. Frequently (4/5 times) metro application closes after system resume from S3
with maximum monitors connected to system
11. RDP is unable to capture profile data on 19H1 OS
12. Stutter observed during video playback in clone mode
13. Stutter is observed while playing 8 bit 4K 60 fps videos on 4 4K monitors and a
window is dragged around
14. BSOD or black screens is observed with Single DIMM and 4X4K@60 displays
connected to the system
b. Falcons
1. Display resolution or refresh rate downgrades with maximum monitors
connected to SUT
2. System is not resuming from S3 mode with DP 1.2 display connected to system
c. Multi-GPU (mGPU)
1. Merlin Falcon + Hontza: Express/Custom installation gives blank display while
installation with iGPU disabled
2. Sporadically S3 suspend- resume not working in mGPU display configuration
3. Display is not observed after post boot hot plug
4. Display blank out observed during uninstallation of catalyst driver
5. Yellow Mark on iGPU with EDP display configuration and booting from dGPU on
V1000 board
d. Eyefinity
1. Eyefinity can’t be created with multi-GPU configuration (1 Eyefinity group, all
displays of each group connected to a given GPU)
2. Sporadically display corruption is observed after selecting ‘’FILL” in mixed
alignment. This is applicable only to dGPU
3. Eyefinity retained after hot unplug in 3X1 configuration

1. 1G SFP+ XGBE port detection & functionality is not working with 10GTek-ASF-1G
connectors
2. Ethernet controller yellow bang is observed in device manager with secure boot
enabled. Root cause is that the drivers are not WHQL certified yet.
3. Direct Peer to Peer network connection using 1G 10G fiber channel is not working for
both SFP+ and RJ-45 ports
4. Sporadically Network connectivity fluctuates with 1G SFP+ Module + Copper cable
connected to port 0 & 1
5. Flash Marvel phy custom firmware on RJ45 rework board to get 10G.
6. Sporadically 10G network is not establishing on SFP+ ports
7. Following features should be functional but have not been fully validated: Receive-Side
scaling, 2.5G TCP/IP offload (duplex) and 2.5G jumbo frames (duplex)
1. Ethernet drivers are in beta quality. No WHQL support
10. Known Issues/Limitations
a. R1000 & V1000 Platform (Bilby)

1. 4-wire UART works only with 115200 baud-rate on R1000 & V1000 Platform ()
Workaround: Use 2-wire UART to use 3M baud-rate
2. SD Card as bootable device doesn’t support High Speed (HS) and at UHS I -
DDR50
b. V1000 Platform (Dibbler only)

1. SD Card as bootable device doesn’t support UHS I - DDR50
2. BSOD is observed on V1605B after installing Q2-2018 platform stack
Workaround: Use external power supply to get rid of this issue
c. R1000 LP Series SoC

1. Manufacture name not displayed properly in device manager/Radeon settings
for R1000 LP variant R1305G
2. AGM log capture with video playback causes BSOD or hang issue. There is no
problem if AGM logs are not captured during the playback
3. RGP tool does not recognize R1000 LP CPU
4. RGP profile capture fails for a few Vulkan samples
5. S3 resume fails after around 250 cycles
d. R1000 & V1000 Series SoC

6. BSOD is observed when running reboot cycles with Eyefinity enabled
7. Stuttering is observed while playing some VP-9 4k @30fps and 60fps video
streams

8. MPEG/H.264 playback stutter observed after switching from windowed mode to

full screen and vice versa
9. Blurriness is overserved in system after enabling Freesync. The issue is specific to
Windows 10 RS5 OS
Workaround: If the issue is observed change the monitor resolution to 4k
10. Flashing the already flashed BIOS using SPI tool causes system boot failure.
Flashing any other BIOS doesn’t cause any issues
Workaround: Flash the BIOS again using Dediprog
e. Multi-GPU (mGPU)
1. Supported configuration: iGPU and 1xdGPU. We do not support 2x dGPU
2. H.265 video is corruption observed during dragging of video from iGPU to DGPU
f. Eyefinity
1. Tearing with Eyefinity: All displays will be tear free only if all displays are using
the same timing and same connector type
2. Display blank out is observed for Eyefinity in portrait mode. This issue is
applicable only for 19H1 driver
Workaround: Create Eyefinity using the display either in dGPU or APU, then hot
plug the displays in other dGPU/APU
3. Sporadically green screen is observed after suspend resume with Eyefinity
enabled
4. Sporadically system restart is observed during Video playback with Eyefinity
enabled
5. Sporadically (2/10) Display blank out, system hang, BSOD is observed during
video playback with eyefinity arrangement
6. Sporadically Adjust Bezel Compensation causes display blank out
7. Resolution mismatch occurs with 5x1 SLS configuration. This is applicable only to
dGPU
8. Eyefinity is not functional with mix of DP and HDMI monitors
g. XGBE
1. SFP+ ports are not functional on Bilby V1000 boards
2. Network connectivity fails on XGBE port-1 after suspend resume
Workaround: Try changing SP module and switch port
3. High CPU Utilization noticed on few boards while running TCP/UDP IPv4 dual-port
bidirectional traffic using NTTTCP Tool
4. Direct Peer to Peer network connection using 1G, 10G fiber channel may not work with
few SFP+ and RJ-45 ports
Workaround: Use External Switch for e.g. NetGear to perform Peer to Peer data
transfer, change SFP module
5. On RJ-45 ports, Ethernet Link always shows LINK up without copper cable connected
6. On RJ-45 rework boards, use mainline(dafault) mavel-phy-firmware for both 1G/10G

7. 2.5G mode works only with DAC cable. Verified connecting peer-to-peer without any
switch
8. Can’t concurrently enable SFP+ and RJ45 interfaces
9. Can’t mix 2.5G & 1/10G Ethernet ports
10. No IEEE 1588 Timestamp support
11. No receive split header support
12. Following features should be functional but have not been fully validated: Priority and
VLAN (VLAN Priority Control), RMON Counter, and VLAN support
13. Sporadically network may fail with hot-unplug/plug of 10G SFP modules
14. Sporadically network-connections may show inappropriate network-name instead of
corporate network name
15. Sporadically, doing disable/enable interface may not function well.
Workaround: Restart the system
16. Network icon may give slow or no response on hot-unplug of 1G-SFP+Copper modules
Workaround: Try disable/enable interface or restart the system
17. Sporadically 2.5G mode may take longer time to get LINK
Workaround: Try disable/enable interface
18. Sporadically, system may hang when run bi-directional traffic on dual ports for long time
19. Observed delayed or no LINK with Intel 10G SFP AFBR-709DMZ-IN2, few Finisar 10G SFP
modules.
Workaround: Try changing SFP module, switch port
20. Speed & Duplex option not available in driver properties. Always configures in auto-
negotiation mode
11. Notes on Validation

1. The driver for RS5 OS is tested after installing following Win10 RS5 OS updates:
KB4465065, KB4505658, KB4509095 and KB4512937
2. Below are the SFP/RJ45 modules used in the XGBE validation:
