Queensland Development Code MP 1.4 Fast Track*
Part 2 – Assessment alternate solution by RPEQ/Building Certifier to
comply with the Performance Criteria detailed in QDC MP1.4
*Not to be used for storm water pipes greater than 910mm in diameter

*Note: If the pipe diameter is greater than 910mm a full assessment will be required by Council as the concurrence agency. The full assessment can
be done by completing the standard Council Building Over Infrastructure form, along with the Integrated Development Assessment System (IDAS) Form
1 clearly identifying the request for assessment of building over infrastructure by Council in accordance with QDC MP 1.4.

How To Use This Form


1. Refer to the QDC MP 1.4 and the BONSW Assessment Manual.
2. The Brisbane City Council considers the alternative solutions on Part 2 of this form to meet P1 and P2 of QDC MP 1.4. If the solutions are met,
BCC will accept the referral agency request as a Fast Track response with no conditions.
3. If the below alternative solutions are not met the referral may not proceed under the Fast Track referral process and further BCC assessment will
be required.
4. For each alternative solution, the assessor must tick either “MET” or “N/A”.
NOTE: Council will not accept this form if altered in any way.

General Provisions - Pipe diameter must be less than or equal to 910mm to be eligible for Fast Track BONSW
Performance Criteria Acceptable Solutions
1. Adequate access MET N/A

pipe and taken below the invert of the storm water pipe (Refer Part B BONSW Assessment Manual)
Footings over or near the storm water trench are bridged over the storm water pipe according to
minimum requirements (Refer Part B BONSW Assessment Manual)
Footings bridging the storm water pipe are reinforced with a concrete beam taken at least 400mm
into solid ground on each side of the storm water pipe trench excavation
Footings longitudinally over the storm water pipe trench are placed on reinforced concrete beams
bridging the storm water pipe in accordance with minimum requirements
