Matthew McConaughey (​j​ake ​b​rigance) as the main protagonist​S. IT IS​ based on ​the​ ​A​ Grisham
novel.

In a Mississippi town, two white youths raped a 10-year-old girl ​CALLED​ Tonya, her father Carl
WAS​ armed on the day of the trial ​AND HE​ killed them. The city, with a majority of white people,
came out to demonstrate against Carl and asked for a death sentence. A young lawyer named
Jake decided to defend him in front of the court​,.​ ​D​d​espite being a white man, the brothers of
the two youths attempted to kill him for defending Carl.

This movie was also released in Argentina, Spain and other countries. Many people liked it
because it relates the situation that people of color lived ​in​ at that time. It debuted in American
theaters with $ 14 million. ​He​ I​ T​ won several awards including ​the​ ​A ​Golden Globe.

It has always been my favorite movie, I see ​him​ ​IT​ every time it comes into my head. What ​I​ ​he
like​s​ most about the movie is Jake's role ​in the final​, ​it did him​ ​HE IS​ great.
