INTRODUCTION
One of the most favoured drink in the country is milk tea, a tea is mostly served
when there is a family gatherings and business meeting and it is usually done mostly in
Asian countries, but a milk tea thing is originally from Taiwan in the 1980s. The term
“tea” refers to the tapioca balls or pearls in the drinks. Milktea is a beverage made out of
a tea with a little amount of milk added into a commonly evaporated or powdered form.
Milk tea is an upgraded tea to make it more unique in some sort of way and to make it
more appealing.
Filipinos are very fond of sweets because they are known to have a sweet tooth. In
Filipino cuisine, sugar is everywhere, not just in desserts like halo-halo and leche flan or
snacks like turon and suman but also in savory dishes like adobo, tocino and even the
local version of spaghetti. Beverages- from coffee and tea to juices and shakes-rarely go
without sugar, and this ubiquity has led people to conclude that we Filipinos have an
exceptionally sweet tooth.
Now, Philippines are becoming more and more modernized country due to the
rampant change outside the country and businesses grew faster than before, and
nowadays, there are much more competitors as more and more prosperous tea cafes
springs up instantly. To appeal to more customers, the increased sort of beverages
followed the increased of innovative ideas. Then, milk tea came into being here in the
country to make the people more satisfy in cravings for new beverages because modern
people drink more beverages than plain water. Among that, milk tea is drink in great
demand. Imagine this on a hot summer day; you’re having a cup of refreshing milk tea.
When having a sip of it, the chewy pearls are full in your mouth.

There are lots of health benefits of milk tea that would definitely encourage many
people to try this product. Filipinos perceive that drinking tea is more beneficial to the
body. First, it provides strength for the body which milk makes the body stronger because
of its calcium content that makes the bone stronger that every drinker can do daily
activities efficiently. Second, reduces stress because drinking milktea will less your stress
in any given situation as milk itself decreases tension. Milktea has caffeine, too, and this
refreshes the body. Third, functions as anti-inflammatory because it has anti-
inflammatory agent functioning as an anti-oxidant in tea. Fourth, effective in weight loss,
it can function as an agent for both fattening and weight loss. If you want to gain weight
the fat compound of milk in the milktea can help and if you want to loss weight, milktea
works too, as a dietary agent by the polyphenol and caffeine that helps in losing weight.
Lastly, it is good for the heart, if you drink more than three cups of tea alone it can cut the
risk of heart disease.
Other drinks like lemonade are just one of many favoured beverages of Filipinos.
It consists of a flavour of lemon and variety of fruits and it is sweetened as a combination
of a Filipino taste.
Many Tea shops in the country successfully earn its loyalty of customers because
of the acceptability of every drinker that satisfy their expectations when it is experienced.
