Blount County United (BCU) works to support anti-racism in Blount county. You can connect with them by

Join the Alcoa/Blount branch of the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP)
during their monthly meeting. The mission of the NAACP is to secure the political, educational, social, and
economic equality of rights in order to eliminate race-based discrimination and ensure the health and
well-being of all persons.
Both BCU and NAACP typically meet on the 4th Saturday of the month at St. Paul AME Zion Church, Maryville.
NAACP meets at 11:45 and BCU meets at 1:00. Neither group is meeting in April or May due to COVID-19
safety precautions.
