I love students and I want the best for each individual one. I want my students to know
that they can believe in themselves and that I as their teacher will be one of their biggest
cheerleaders, believing in them and helping them as best as I can so they can be the best version
of themselves. After looking at the results of my self-assessment I understand that students learn
in many different ways and I would make it my goal to use many different forms of teaching in
my classroom. I think this assessment helps me better understand who I am as a teacher and use
these results to better know what needs to be incorporated and is a good reminder to refer back
to.
experience was where I grew the most. I got a lot of real-world practice teaching and got to
develop relationships with students who I grew very close to. I liked being in the classroom and
just learning different strategies and seeing different activities I could incorporate into lessons. I
also really liked doing teach outs in my college classes. I really liked that we got honest feedback
from our professors and that helped me grow as a teacher because I was able to take that
feedback and improve what I needed for the next teach out. The connection between professional
dispositions and the model code of ethics is that they both focus on high expectations and
standards. It also is similar in that both demonstrate ethical rights for students and fairness.
Respecting their dignity and worth are two very important things that both focus on.

Some steps I need to work on in the classroom is using more management strategies and
not being the student’s friend but using my role as a teacher to discipline them when necessary. I
also need to work on demonstrating fairness to all students. I am very fair and love all my
students but sometimes it can be hard to pick favorites and pay more attention to them and leave
others out. I could also get better at having students set goals and actually looking back at those
goals. It is hard to remember to look back at goals and actual assess how students are doing on
