I NTRODUCTION

SHOPPERS STOP LIMITED is one of the leading retail stores in India.


Shoppers Stop began by operating a chain of department stores under the
name “Shoppers’ Stop” in India. Shoppers Stop has 65 stores across 32
cities in India.

Shoppers Stop retails stuff like ladies watches, men's watches, artificial
jewellery, fine jewelry, handbags, fragrances, cosmetics, men's footwear,
women's footwear, home furnishing and decor products.

Shoppers Stop launched its e-store with delivery across major cities in
India in 2008. The website retails all the products available at Shoppers
Stop stores, including apparel, cosmetics and accessories. Shoppers Stop
opened stores in Amritsar, Bhopal and Aurangabad.

Shoppers Stop retails products of domestic and international brands such


as Louis Philippe, Pepe, Arrow, BIBA, Gini & Jony, Carbon, Corelle,
Magppie. Nike , Reebok, LEGO, and Mattel. Shoppers Stop retails
merchandise under its own labels, such as STOP, Kashish, LIFE and
Vettorio Fratini, Elliza Donatein, Acropolis etc. The company also licensees
for Austin Reed (London), an international brand, who’s men's and
women's outerwear are retailed in India exclusively through the chain. In
October 2009, Shoppers Stop has bought the license for merchandising
Zoozoo the brand mascot for Vodafone India .
Monthly class report

1. We started with classroom session taken by reeva mam in which we


studied about organized and un organized retail formats with different
lay out plans .Even we had a store visit to different organized and
unorganized retail store. we had class room presentation on the
observation and difference we analyzed in stores.

2. Than next session is taken up by prabhjot sir in which they taught us


about the gender diversity .which mean how to attend women and how
to attend men when they are in your store for a purchase . we had
several role plays on ..
i) Opening up of call
ii) Greeting and welcoming customer
iii) Developing needs
iv) Increase purchase /referrals
v) Elimination of doubts
vi) And finally close of sale
In this we have taken gender differentiation as a main part to be

focused upon

3. Than in between we started with our communication classes to


get better communication skills to perform in retail sector
4. Than deepak sir taught us about the roles and responsibilities of
CCA/FA even the responsibilities of department manager
5. Now we are with the session of Rajeev sir who is teaching us
about the visual merchandising of store and products. what all are
the layouts , colour combinations and patterns to be follow .About
the fixtures being used un store , high end points , focal points ,
etc

*This is a small review on the basis of what we have done in the


time span of one month.

*we come up with different curricular activates also
