Procedure required to plan LTC LOFT/Release and INA LOFT

1. LTC LOFT and RELEASE for 320/321 aircraft:

a. Eligibility criteria:

Captains who have total flying experience of 4500 hrs.

Total command experience of 1500 hrs. (Commercial Jet Aircraft)

Total command experience on type 1000 hrs. or 500 hrs. in case pilot has previous experience as trainer
on Commercial Jet Aircraft.

b. Process for LTC LOFT:

Both the trainer and the trainee are required to operate the flight with no one on the observation seat
wherein one sector has to night.

Trainer can be any nominated TRI.

 2. LTC RELEASE:

LTC Release is planned with a trainer on observation seat and trainee as LTC on LHS seat with a line FO
on RHS seat.

Release can be conducted by the nominated trainers as mentioned below:

3. INA LOFT: -

a. Eligibility criteria:

 Total flying experience with 5000 hrs.

 Total Command experience with 2000 hrs.
  Total Command experience on type with 1500 hrs.

Other Requirements:

 Total experience is less than or equal to 6000 hrs. then he should have been LTC for more
than 24 months.
 Total flying experience is more than 6000 hrs. then he should have been LTC for more than
12 months.

b. Process:
 Compiled list of LTC planned for Base training for their INA upgrade are provided by SIM team to
Line training team latest by 15th of every month for next subsequent month.
 These INA upgrades are planned to observe 3 take off and landings of an instructor (INA)
conducting a base training of a trainee.
 INA upgrades conducts 3 take off and landings with the instructor (INA) in a role of a dummy
trainee.
 Post completion of the base training the INA upgrade trainee is planned for 1 sector INA Loft
with any INA.
