1. It is required to use protection plate, seat cushion and floor mate to prevent vehicles from being damaged or
contaminated.
2. Disassembly of parts
a. Place the removed parts in a reasonable sequence. Divide parts into two groups – one requiring replacement and
another which is reusable – in order to facilitate reassembly.
b. When dismantling complicated parts, it is better to make marks or mating signs in proper non-working surface of it
in order to facilitate mounting it back to original place correctly in reassembly.
c. Each time when a part is removed, it is required to check the installation condition of it and confirm that it has been
deformed, damaged, worn or scraped.
d. Reusable parts (excluding grease sealed bearing) shall be completely rinsed.
e. For reusable parts, it is required to carry out careful check or measurement.
3. Assembly of parts
a. Comply with all regulations related to bolt tightening torque. Only torque spanner must be used. Fit acceptable parts
as per specified standards (such as, specified adjusted value and tightening torque).
b. It is required to unscrew or screw bolts gradually in several stages. Extra care shall be taken of observation to
prevent the tightened parts from being deformed or damaged.
c. Positions for installation of bearings shall be blown on by compressed air, not cleaned by clothes. Pay attention to
protect mating surface of bearings. Those who carry out cleaning work shall wear goggles to protect eyes.
d. Similar parts like packings, gaskets and oil seals must be replaced with new ones.
e. Parts which can not be used repeatedly, such as cotter pin, gaskets and oil seals must be replaced with new ones.
Parts which can not be used repeatedly shall be marked by “★”in parts diagrams.
4. It is required to use special repair tools as required in order to increase efficiency and maintain a certain precision.
5. Do not smoke in repairing. Do not let any fire source close to working station.
6. Engine warming up state indicates coolant temperature of at least up to 75~85℃, and engine oil temperature of at
least up to 65℃.
The temperature can be confirmed by observing status after the cooling fan motor just stops.
7. Vehicles equipped with catalytic converters.
Note: If lots of unburned gasoline enters the catalytic converter, it will cause overheating or even fire. In order to
prevent accidents, it is required to observe the follows and explain related notes for users.
(a) Only unleaded gasoline can be used.
(b) Avoid running the engine at idling for a long time. Do not let engine run at idling above 20 minutes.
(c) Do not conduct spark over test.
(1) It is permitted to conduct the spark over test for spark plug only when it is necessary. However, it is required to keep
the spark over test last as short as possible.
(2) Do not run the engine for a long time in test. At the same time, it is required to cut off fuel supply (ensure that
injector nozzle will not inject oil to the cylinder).
(d) Avoid lasting the engine compression test for a long time.
It is required to keep the engine compression test as short as possible (ensure that injector nozzle will not inject oil to
the cylinder).
(e) Do not run the engine when fuel in fuel tank is almost used up.
Otherwise, it will cause disruption in combustion and then overload the catalytic converter.
(f) Do not coast with ignition system closed.
(g) Do not put the used catalytic converter together with oiled or lubricated parts.

8. Requirements for battery cables in repairing

(a) Cable in negative terminal (-) must be disconnected from the
battery before carrying out electrical repair work.
(b) Power supply shall be switched off and the negative terminal (-)
must be off in checking and repairing.
(c) It is required to loosen the locking nuts in cable and lift up the cable
to avoid damaging battery terminals. Do not twist it or pry on it by
force.
(d) Cleaning cloth shall be used for cleaning of battery terminals
and cable terminals. Do not scrape them using a file or rough
objects.
(e) It is required to loosen nuts in connecting the cable connector
with the battery terminal. Screw nuts again after installation. Do
not connect the cable onto the battery terminals in a knocking
manner by a hammer.
(f) It is always required to cover well the positive terminal (+) cap

9. Precoated parts
Precoated parts means parts which have been coated before delivering
out from the parts manufacturer.
(a) It is required to apply specified coat again to the precoated parts
after they are screwed again, loosened or moved in any manner.
Sealant
(b) It is required to clean off the former sealant onto the parts and

11. Extra care shall be taken in propping up and supporting the

vehicle using a jack. Do it only after finding a proper point of
support.
● Release hand brake and keep the transmission at neutral gear.
● It is required to put a cushion under the wheel of another side to
keep safe if a vehicle is supported up using a jack in the front or
rear.
● After the vehicle is lift up, it is required to support it with a
bracket. If only a jack supports the vehicle while carrying out
operations though a small task which will be finished quickly, it
is very dangerous.
12. Comply with the following instructions to avoid damaging
Wrong Right
parts:
① Do not open the ECU (electronic control unit) cover or housing,
unless absolutely necessary (Touching the integrated circuit (IC)
pins may damage the IC due to the static).)
② It is required to hold the hose end rather than the intermediate
part while pulling out the vacuum hose.
③ After pulling off the circuit connectors, it is required to pull the
connector and not to involve cable.
④ Do not let electrical elements (such as sensor or relays) fall
