HUNGER GAMES”

Orientation
The Hunger Games is not, as I thought when I heard the title, a nostalgic
docu-drama on the 1948 London Olympics back in the first post-war age of
austerity. It's a film version of Suzanne Collins's popular series of American novels
for so-called young adults (my 11-year-old granddaughter is reading them) set in a
dystopian near future. This totalitarian state is modelled in part on imperial Rome,
and teenagers are chosen by lot from the nation's most deprived youth to take part
in televised gladiatorial encounters that end in death for all but one contestant. The
privileged citizens in the capital have Roman names (eg Cinna, Seneca, Cato,
Caesar) and dress like characters in Alice in Wonderland, while the downtrodden
people in the outlands have folksy rural names.
The story started by introducing the setting of movie, it was tell about the
young girl have 16th which name is Katness Everdeen (Jennifer Lawrence) from
some place named District 12. Where the majority of civilians as a miner. District
12 is a last district, one of the 12 district in the country called Panem. Panem is a
country that was once a North America. Because a failed insurgency, Panem’s
Government make a some death competition which held in the state capital named
Capitol. The competition is named The Hunger Games.
Every district must give 2 envoy, 1 man and 1 women. That they have to
fight for their district until death and find one winner. 73 rd years this competition
have held and be a culture of the Panem. Katness chosen from district 12 who
change her sister(Primrose Everdeen) and as a young man is Peeta Mellark (Josh
Hutcherson) as a tribute in 74th Hunger games. Like the reality show, the
contestants of The Hunger Games also require attractive personality so that they
can get a sponsor. This sponsor serves to save the contestants from several times
the incident of death. Obtaining links is dependent on the ability of each contestant
to survive.
Before the competition begins, Peeta and Katniss had to undergoing a series
of training and public appearances in the Capitol, and must undergoing an
interview session in order to get links with the presenter, Caesar Flickerman
(Stanley Tucci). Armed with an excellent archery skills, katness became the
strongest competitor who made herself and get public attention.
When the hunger games start. Katniss & Peeta managed to survive a few
days of this diabolically The Hunger Games, although Katniss with Peeta different
locations. Brutal murder occurs among the tribute to the remaining 13 participants
in the first round. Because there is a special relationship between katness and
Peeta. the capitol changed his mind that the winner of the hunger games can be 2 if
it’s in the same district.
This film tell about the struggle of a couple who survive in dangerous
situation and goodness Katness to replace her sister in a fight to the death.
Much a murder action in this film so make this film disallowed for child. the
effect of the film's violent content on their children were unnecessary, and that
children are capable of viewing violent content without being psychologically
harmed
Summary
Sacrifice for something worth As the first installment in what will be a four-
part film series (based on a three-part book series), Ross has done a solid job
establishing the series’ major players, as well as the ins and outs of Panem society.
Ultimately the director crams a lot of quality content into the film’s two-hour
twenty-minute runtime – though some plot threads, scenes, and characters are
underserved by the movie’s conclusion. While The Hunger Games is not a non-
stop fight-to-the-death action film, it succeeds at being something even more
interesting – a fascinating and disturbing (not to mention tense) character drama
that successfully captures the core themes of the book.
