Determined to pay as low a price as possible for materials, manufacturers

have not traditionally cultivated warm relationships with suppliers. In the
words of one general manager: “The best approach to supply is to have
as many players as possible fighting for their piece of the pie—that’s when
you get the best pricing.” Excellent supply chain management requires a

For the elaboration of the multivitamin supplement, the laboratory asks the suppliers for the
raw material, it is received and stored until quality control is sampled and the pertinent
analyzes are carried out and so make use of it.

The production area generates the order for the manufacture of the supplement, in this order
the raw materials requested and the packaging material and its quantities are described. We
proceed to the dispensation of raw materials followed by the manufacture and packaging of
the supplement.

Upon completion of the above processes this supplement is stored in the finished product
warehouse to be dispatched to wholesale distributors.
