UTHM SCHOLARSHIP “BIASISWAZAH” FOR

POSTGRADUATE RESEARCH STUDENTS

SEMESTER 2 SESSION 2015/2016 application for UTHM Scholarship “Biasiswazah”

is now open for all research students. The Scholarship shall cover ONLY ONE
SEMESTER tuition fees and living allowance (RM 1300.00/month for Master or
RM1500.00/month for PhD students).

The followings are the terms and conditions for the application eligibility:
1. Applicants must be registered as a Full-time student in Master by Research or
PhD Programme in UTHM.
2. Applicants are not being funded by any other scholarship
3. Applicants must have a CGPA > 3.00 or its equivalent at Bachelor Degree.
4. For newly registered students, the following achievements are highly sought
after: (a) Dean’s list, and (b) publications.
5. For current students, the following criteria are highly sought after: (a) LKP
marks > 80, (b) publications, (c) any contribution to the university, and (d)
participation in CGS/GSA activities.

Successful recipients of the scholarship must be able to:

i. Serve the university and faculty for a maximum of six (6) hours per week doing
teaching or academic works under the supervision of the faculty’s
management.
ii. Demonstrate excellent progress in their studies and must complete their
studies within the stipulated time.
iii. Actively engage in academic related activities such as writing academic
publications, research innovations and exhibitions, etc.
iii.iv. Serve as part of working committee in student activities organised by
CGS, if required, from time to time.

The application will be closed on the 14th April 2016. Only shortlisted candidates
shall be invited to the scholarship interview.
