AGENDA FOR THE 1st MEETING OF CENTRE FOR CLINICAL LEGAL


EDUCATION AND LEGAL AID CELL, NATIONAL LAW UNIVERSITY, ASSAM:

1. Formal Induction and Explaining the working of the Centre to the New Members.
2. Discussing and Intimating the service and work rules of the PLVs for the Centre:
2.1. Student Members of the Centre serve for a period of one year from the date of the
first induction.
2.2. Student Members are expected to be punctual, diligent, sincere and dedicated
towards the Centre and all of its activities.
2.3. The Convener and other student members are to report to the Chairperson of the
Centre.
2.4. The Student Members are expected to attend all the meetings of the Centre,
which shall be convened at a 24-hour notice.
2.5. Non- attendance of two meetings in succession shall result in the dismissal of
membership for a student member by the Chairperson, and the Chairperson shall be
authorized to induct any other student as the member of the Centre in place of such
dismissed member.
2.6. On successful completion of their term, all the members shall be entitled to a
Certificate of Appreciation by the Centre, and individual members shall be entitled to
Certificate of Organization corresponding to the Individual events they have helped
organizing.
2.7. Non-Attendance of events, for which an individual student member has been
accorded the responsibility of, or non-involvement in its organization shall be a valid
ground for dismissal of membership.
3. Increasing the Social Media Presence of the Centre.
4. Strategy for Conducting Legal Literacy/Awareness Programs throughout the year
(Asking for suggestions)
5. Conducting the 2nd National Law Quiz-2019
6. Conducting the 2nd NLUJAA-National Legal Essay Competition-2019.
7. Manupatra- CCLE-LAC Journal of Clinical Legal Education (Suggestions for Names)
and strategizing the print policy of the Journal.
8. Working paper series on topics of relevance to legal education for the layman. (To
discuss)
9. Seminar on Access to Justice and Legal Education-2019-20
10. Any other suggestion and recommendations by the Student members and the Faculty
advisors respectively.
