TYPES OF X-RAY MACHINE
There are different types of X-ray machine. Some are
mentioned below:
 Chiropractic X-Ray
 DR X-Ray Upgrade
 Stationary X-Ray
 Podiatry X-Ray
 Veterinary X-Ray
 Mobile and Portable X-Ray
 Fluoroscopy
 Upper Cervical X-Ray
Chiropractic X-Ray:
It consists of two types. One is Film Based System
and second is Digital system. Second one is the
upgrade system.
Key Benefits:
Mounts floor-to-wall or floor-to-ceiling.
Tube rotation enables precision alignment of the
tube for non-angled and angled views.
Convenient display gives indication of tube rotation.
Features:
The system will instantly improve patient workflow
by eliminating the use of cassettes and developing
conventional X-Ray films. It eliminates the need for
image stitching software, creating a full spine image
in one exposure without having to take three
separate X-Rays. Low-dose, high efficiency, versatile.
The second updated version creates a single image,
you can compensate filters to balance out the
exposure between thicker and thinner areas. It gives
the ability to do

all anatomy regions like full-torso, neck and chest

and spine. In pediatric segment, it is an ideal low-
dose solution.
Upper Cervical X-Ray:

This machine helps finds the cause of symptoms

such as neck, shoulder, arm pain as well as tingling,
numbness or weakness in the arm or hand. It is
performed in the lying position. It can also help in
detecting fractures in cervical vertebrae or
dislocation of the joints between vertebrae. Its
procedure may take up to 15 minutes, actual
exposure to radiation is usually takes a few seconds.

DR X-Ray Upgrade:
It includes Portable or fixed flat panel with PACS and
DICOM 3.0 connectivity. It includes generator control
integration. Less radiation can be used to produce an
image of similar contrast to conventional
radiography. It uses sensitive plates to capture data
to immediately transfer data without cassette. With
the DR system, it is unnecessary to use GRID.

t
Veterinary X-Ray machine:
It is an imaging technique, using electromagnetic
radiations. The x-ray passes through the patient’s
body and are captured by a detector, either on a film
or a digital image viewed on a screen. It allows
veterinarians to capture the images of internal
organs and bones, elevation of a broken bone,
injuries from a trauma. It also has a disadvantage
that patient is expose to small dose of radiation.
Stationary X-Ray machine:
It has a colourful touch screen. PLC control. It is dust
proof and strong interference ability. It can preset
the KV, MA and time parameter. It has high control
precision. It is used for severely ill and unable
patients. It is also used as dental x-ray machine.
Podiatry X-Ray machine:
It includes 28 inch SID. It folds to 18 inches wide and
low voltage expose switch with optional remote key
box. It eliminates the need to rotate the patient for
the DP view. It provides excellent image resolution
and faster exposure times for Podiatry Radiography.
Mobile and Portable X-Ray machine:
These machines are self-propelled and battery
dependent. Chest x-ray is the most requested mobile
radiography. X-Ray are present only when the x-ray
beam is activated by pressing the exposure switch.
Scattered x-ray from the source then decrease in
intensity the further away you stand from the
patient. Lead, concrete and steel are effective in
shielding x-ray and gamma radiation.
